Actor Neve Campbell says she had apprehensions about reprising her fan-favourite character of Sidney Prescott in upcoming Scream 5 with out filmmaker Wes Craven on the helm. Hailed because the Grasp of Horror, Craven had began the franchise with 1996 slasher Scream, that includes Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette within the lead.
The movie, which turned out to be an enormous blockbuster, spawned three sequels over time — Scream 2 (1997), Scream 3 (2000) and Scream 4 (2011) — which had been all helmed by Craven. He died of a mind tumour in 2015 on the age of 75.

In an interview with The Speak, Campbell mentioned she is worked up to return to the franchise and reunite with Cox and Arquette.
“I’m excited to see this younger new solid. I’m excited to work with these new administrators. I had been apprehensive as a result of, you understand, our director, our unimaginable director Wes Craven handed away, and I wasn’t certain about doing a movie with out him,” the 47-year-old actor mentioned.
“However the brand new administrators got here to me with this stunning letter saying that they’ve turn into administrators and love movie due to these movies, and due to Wes, and so they actually wish to be true to his story and his journey with these movies, so I used to be actually glad to listen to that,” she added.
Scream 5 has a script from James Vanderbilt and Man Busick.
