Phil Collins has joined the rising listing of musicians demanding Donald Trump’s marketing campaign bosses cease taking part in their music at his rallies.
Collins is sad with using his In The Air Tonight hit at political occasions and he has despatched out a stop and desist letter, urging Trump’s music males to choose one other music.
The 1981 music was performed at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday (14Oct20), and Phil was fuming.
Representatives for the Genesis frontman confirmed they’ve issued the order, stating: “We’re nicely conscious of the Trump marketing campaign’s use of this music and we now have already issued a stop and desist letter through our legal professionals who proceed to observe the scenario.”
Collins joins the likes of Neil Younger, Dexys Midnight Runners, Panic! At The Disco, the Rolling Stones, Linkin Park, and the property of Tom Petty amongst those that have urged the President and his staff to cease utilizing their music at re-election marketing campaign rallies.
Younger wrote: “Think about what it appears like to listen to Rockin’ within the Free World after this president speaks, like it’s his theme music. I didn’t write it for that.”
